However, I only consider the past as a global thing, I have never thought about a specific event I want to visit. So, thinking hard, I came up with two possible times where I would like to be able to go: Versailles in the 17th century and Japan between 1985 and 1991.
I would travel to Versailles because in that century, Louis XIV (the Sun King) made the palace of Versailles his royal residence. A palace characterised by leisure and politics and which I would love to visit (in the present too) at that time to be able to attend a ball given by the king, wear a period dress, see the hall of mirrors and walk through the gardens with ladies at my side telling me the gossip of the nobility.
The other place I would like to travel to is Japan between 1985 and 1991, because in those years the Asian country lived through an economic bubble that had it as a possible candidate to become a world power (until the bubble burst...). It had an economic growth that involved areas such as technology and real estate, as well as the boom years of city pop and the beginnings of anime (as we know it today). I can definitely see myself walking the streets listening to 'stay with me'.
And I wouldn't stay in either place. The 17th century was bad even for noblewomen, there's no reason for me to stay, I have no rights and I like them a lot haha. On the other hand, the Japanese bubble burst and they went through a hard economic crisis (not to mention the yakuzas), although if they offered me to live in a loop during those years... I would seriously think about it. Ok, seriously speaking, I like the country very much and I want to visit it for at least a whole month (in the present) if God gives me the chance.
i didn´t think in japan in that time, bu now i wish go to the past and visit this country too
ResponderEliminarI love that it is so specific, Japan at that time really catches my attention.
